During the Gulf War in 1991, a squad of eight British commandos are dropped off 140 miles behind enemy lines in Iraq to spy on Saddam Hussein’s main supply route. The mission goes disastrously wrong. Before long, three men are killed and four are captured. After travelling over 200 miles through the desert, only one makes it out of Iraq alive – Chris Ryan, the one who got away.
