Introduction

Follows acclaimed actor Stephen Lang as he tracks the ten year odyssey behind his one-man show about eight medal of honour recipients.

Outline

Based on firsthand accounts of Congressional Medal of Honour recipients, Beyond Glory was conceived as a one-man performance piece by acclaimed actor Stephen Lang (Avatar, Public Enemies).

Since 2003, it has played over four hundred times to civilian and military audiences across the globe, garnering universal critical accolades.

In 2014, Lang invited filmmakers to accompany him on his journey to bring the show to the war zones of the Middle East and heartland of America.

The film blends performances from lower Manhattan to forward bases in Afghanistan to nuclear carriers in the Persian Gulf, as Lang brings to life eight heroes engaged in the desperate conflicts of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.

Combining the intimacy of stage with state-of-the-art computer graphics, Beyond Glory is a startling synthesis of cinema and theatre, giving moviegoers the experience of watching a live performance from the best seat in the house.
