Introduction

Treadstone is an American action drama television series, connected to and based on the Bourne film series.

A “special preview” of the pilot aired on USA Network on 24 September 2019, ahead of its 15 October 2019 premiere.

The series was created by Tim Kring, who is also the executive producer alongside Ramin Bahrani, Ben Smith, Jeffrey Weiner, Justin Levy, Bradley Thomas, and Dan Friedkin.

Outline

In an attempt to rescue a man targeted and successfully assassinated by Treadstone, Doug manages to kill the asset sent to carry out the order and takes over his identity to pursue the truth with the help of his wife, Sam. Tara infiltrates the Russian State Military Archive to obtain information on the Stiletto Six project and the Cicada programme, while Soyun discovers a coup is planned in North Korea and her husband is going to be the scapegoat, thus handing herself over to the Americans in exchange for intel she promises to deliver to the CIA. Haynes sacrifices himself for Edwards so he could pursue the investigation on Treadstone without posing as a national threat.
