Introduction

The third season of the American television drama series Homeland premiered on 29 September 2013 on Showtime, and concluded on 15 December 2013, consisting of 12 episodes.

The series is loosely based on the Israeli television series Hatufim (English: Prisoners of War) created by Gideon Raff and is developed for American television by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa.

Outline

Dana and Leo run away together. Fara is able to tie the money back to Iran. The Iranians attempt to turn Carrie into a double agent in order to get her out of the mental institution. It is revealed that Carrie’s entire breakdown and lock up was a plot to have Iran think she was able to be turned.
