Introduction

The third season of the American television drama series Homeland premiered on 29 September 2013 on Showtime, and concluded on 15 December 2013, consisting of 12 episodes.

The series is loosely based on the Israeli television series Hatufim (English: Prisoners of War) created by Gideon Raff and is developed for American television by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa.

Outline

Jessica convinces Carrie to help her try and find Dana, Dana eventually learns the truth about why Leo was locked up and turns herself in to the police. Senator Lockhart reveals to Saul that he will be the next CIA director. Saul finds out that his wife is having an affair. Carrie’s home is broken into by the Iranians who take her with them.
