Introduction

Forged in Fire is an American competition series that airs on the History Channel, and is produced by Outpost Entertainment, a Leftfield Entertainment company.

History ordered an initial eight episodes of the series with the first programme premiering on Monday 22 June 2015, at 10.00 pm (US Eastern Time), and ending on 10 August 2010.

Outline

A new set of bladesmiths are tasked with the gruelling challenge of shaping four very different types of metal, each with their own unique difficulties, into a fully functional deadly weapon. After a rigorous round of testing, only two will survive. They will have just five days to create one of the most lethal weapons in military history, the Nepalese Kukri. They will then go to battle in a final round of testing, but only one will conquer all and secure the title of Forged in Fire champion.
