Introduction

Forged in Fire is an American competition series that airs on the History Channel, and is produced by Outpost Entertainment, a Leftfield Entertainment company.

History ordered an initial eight episodes of the series with the first programme premiering on Monday 22 June 2015, at 10.00 pm (US Eastern Time), and ending on 10 August 2010.

Outline

In this frighteningly special Halloween competition, four smiths shiver to the bone as they salvage steel from the corpses of broken, decaying blades, and turn it into a zombie killer. Resurrecting a blade from the past proves to be no treat and one smith does not make it out alive. After the most terrifying testing to date, two brave souls are sent back to recreate a ghoulish weapon from the Middle Ages: the War Scythe. Can one smith survive another nightmare to join the ranks of Forged in Fire champions earning the $10,000 prize, or will the Crypt claim another?
