Outline

Connie is rattled by Danny Sparks (Joe Armstrong), a face from her past. Lady Hoxley invites local dignitary, Miss Timpson (Annette Badland), to the village fete and she receives a job offer. The land girls take on Vernon Storey and his boys during a ploughing competition. Esther tries to keep her pregnancy a secret.
