Introduction

Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (International title: One Great Love / transl. I Will Only Love You Once) is a Philippine family military drama series that aired on ABS-CBN featuring an ensemble cast.

The series focuses on an army soldier and an NPA rebel who share a secret identity as brothers and the dilemma they face – to either uphold their duty or their family.

The show aired from 07 March 2011 to 19 August 2011.

Outline

Alexander graduates from the Philippine Military Academy with honours. His father and grandfather are both high-ranking military officials. His mother comes in late for his graduation and embarrasses him in front of his friends by ignoring him. Alexander didn’t have a very happy childhood and was left alone by his parents most of the time. His grandfather Jaime also forced him to be in the military. He also met Kaye when he was younger, a daughter of NPA rebels captured by his grandfather. On the night he was being forced to apply to military school, his younger brother insisted on tagging along with him when he went to his secret hiding place. Jaime Jr. gets into an accident and dies. Everyone blames him for it especially his mother Alondra.
