Introduction
Human Weapon is a television show on The History Channel that premiered on 20 July 2007.
The hosts, Jason Chambers and Bill Duff, travelled across the world studying the unique martial arts, or styles of fighting, that have origins in the region.
Outline
Hosts Bill Duff and Jason Chambers travel to Quantico, Virginia to get a painful lesson in the combat style that has helped spawn the Marines’ widely feared reputation.
The Marine Corps Martial Arts Programme (MCMAP) is a combat system developed by the United States Marine Corps to combine existing and new hand-to-hand and close quarters combat techniques with morale and team-building functions and instruction in the warrior ethos. The programme, which began in 2001, trains Marines (and US Navy personnel attached to Marine units) in unarmed combat, edged weapons, weapons of opportunity, and rifle and bayonet techniques. It also stresses mental and character development, including the responsible use of force, leadership, and teamwork.
