2024 is the thirtieth anniversary of the devastating helicopter crash that wiped out a generation of Northern Ireland’s top intelligence personnel. The families of the victims are still on the hunt for answers.

This two-part limited series allows the families to share their stories and experiences. Experts offer their thoughts on what went wrong that fateful night as journalists uncover what the MoD and RAF did not want the families and general public to know.

A former Belfast Telegraph journalist recalled in the new documentary how one of the pilots of the Chinook helicopter which crashed into the Mull of Kintyre in 1994 increased the value of his life insurance prior to the tragedy over fears of the safety of the aircraft.
