Introduction

Apocalypse: The War of the Worlds is a series of six documentary films that retrace the confrontation of the two worlds of the Cold War, from 1945 to 1991.

It is also known as Apocalypse: War of the Worlds 1945-1991.

More than 200 hours of unpublished archives have been restored and colourised to illustrate the period from the end of the Second World War until the fall of the USSR in 1991.

These documentary films were written and directed by Isabelle Clarke, Daniel Costelle , Mickael Gamrasni and narrated by Mathieu Kassovitz .

The series has been broadcast on various French and Belgian television channels. The series was released on DVD and Blu-ray on 20 November 2019.
