Introduction

All Quiet on the Preston Front is a BBC comedy drama about a group of friends in the fictional Lancashire town of Roker Bridge, and their links to the local Territorial Army infantry platoon. It was created by Tim Firth.

Outline of Series 03, Episode 05

It is the evening of the formal mess dinner being organised by Polson and tensions are running high. Ally has discovered that her husband has been cheating on her with his ex-wife and Eric and Hodge argue over unresolved issues. The dinner ends with the traditional melon rugby game which leads to a violent exchange between Polson and Rundle.

All Quiet on the Preston Front Series

Three series were made. For series two and three the title was shortened to Preston Front, and the series became less about the TA and more about the personal lives of the protagonists.
