Mainwaring is charged with showing a light and taken to court by a gleeful Hodges. When Mr Yeatman tries to tell Hodges he’s responsible, he is blackmailed into remaining silent. Walker then blackmails the judge, Colonel Square, into freeing Mainwaring due to the two of them seeing the light when Walker brought Colonel Square some whiskey.
