Introduction

Documentary series following a batch of 45 fresh-faced 16-17 year old recruits going through the British Army’s basic training at the Army Foundation College Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Each one will suffer successes and failures as they attempt to prove that they have what it takes to be a soldier.

Outline Series 01, Episode 04

In the final month-long phase of training , the members of 19 Platoon head for Otterburn in Northumberland for a tactical exercise designed to utilise every aspect of their training and test them to the limit.

They experience the terror, excitement, adrenaline and chaos of war as they go on the attack with no instructions, while a dreaded six-mile loaded march follows.
