Introduction

Documentary series following a batch of fresh-faced 16-17 year old recruits going through the British Army’s basic training at the Army Foundation College Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Each one will suffer successes and failures as they attempt to prove that they have what it takes to be a soldier.

Outline Series 02, Episode 01

Following another group of teenagers as they go through basic Army training in Harrogate.

In the first episode, rookies Vyse and Johnson grapple with the reality of missing their parents, and Corporal Early discovers an illicit cigarette end during the boys’ first room inspection.

Later, the recruits must face a tough physical examination or risk being thrown out of the programme.
