Introduction

Nazi Megastructures is a documentary television series appearing on the National Geographic Channel and a spinoff of the broader Megastructures television series.

The series also aired as Nazi Mega Weapons under PBS in the US.

Outline of Series 03, Episode 02

In yet another example of Hitler’s folly he orders impregnable fortresses built on the Channel Islands. Despite the incredible expense of construction the fortifications prove useless when the Allies go on the offensive on D-Day. But, it was a safe, if dull, place for a few German soldiers to wait out the war.
