Introduction
Resistance (released as Rebellion Season 02 on Netflix) is a 2019 television miniseries written by Colin Teevan for Irish broadcaster RTÉ.
The series was preceded by a five-part miniseries, Rebellion (2016), which dramatised the events surrounding the 1916 Easter Rising.
Outline
November 1920. The Irish War of Independence is raging. IRA member Jimmy Mahon is recruited to Michael Collins’ “Squad” and instructed to root out an informant. Codebreaker Ursula Sweeney, working in Dublin Castle, is “turned” to the rebel side.
