Outline
World War II is over and the boys from the town of River Run, Ohio, are coming home. It seems that life is slowly going back to normal, but war has changed everything and they will never be the same again.
A nostalgic and intelligent ensemble drama about G.I.’s adjusting to civilian life after World War II revolved around three diverse families – the Sloans, the Metcalfs and the Davises – in fictional River Run, Ohio.
The series explored such serious issues as women’s rights and racial equality, but there was always time for steamy relationships.
