Outline
Leutnant Alexander Suvorov, frischgebackener Absolvent der Militärakademie, bereitet sich in den ersten Tagen des Zweiten Weltkrieges darauf vor seine Heimatstadt zu verteidigen. Eine kleine Gruppe Deutscher Angreifer stürmt die Stadt und ihre Bewohner fliehen panisch. Suvorov und seine Freunde sind sich sicher, dass der Krieg sie erreicht hat. Doch alles was dann passiert belehrt sie eines Besseren und sie müssen erfahren wie furchtbar und ernst die Lage in Wirklichkeit ist. Mitten in den Kriegswirren und der Belagerung durch die Deutschen Truppen trifft Alexander Suvorov seine Jugendliebe Annie wieder, die ihm zunächst die kalte Schulter zeigt.
Lieutenant Alexander Suvorov, a recent graduate of the military academy, is preparing to defend his hometown in the first days of World War II. A small group of German attackers storm the city and its residents flee in panic. Suvorov and his friends are sure that the war has reached them. But everything that happens then teaches them better and they have to experience how terrible and serious the situation is in reality. In the midst of the turmoil of war and the siege by the German troops, Alexander Suvorov meets his childhood sweetheart Annie, who gives him the cold shoulder.
