Rambo: The Force of Freedom (also known simply as Rambo) is a 1986 American animated series based on the character of John Rambo from David Morrell’s book First Blood and the subsequent films First Blood (1982) and Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985).

While Rambo’s team provides security for Senator Thorne during his trip to Japan to meet with President Fujita, a prototype chip for an American defence project is stolen by the science team leader Dr. Hiro Gosho who places the chip in the collar of the senator’s dog Peewee allowing General Warhawk to send Gripper and Black Dragon to abduct Peewee and obtain the chip.
