Introduction
Coriolanus is a 2014 adaptation of William Shakespeare’s tragedy Coriolanus, directed by Josie Rourke and Tim Van Someren and starring Tom Hiddleston, who plays the titular character.
The adaptation’s original title was National Theatre Live: Coriolanus.

- Changes since the previews week: pyrotechnics, more use of the ladder, more humour, more interaction between Coriolanus and the supporting cast, and fruit being thrown at Coriolanus.
- Fans were camping outside the Donmar for tickets, some staying for 17 plus hours in winter for front row seats.
- In order to be suspended seemingly from his ankles Tom Hiddleston had an elaborate harness under his costume that meant he was actually hoisted from his hips to prevent injury.
