Introduction

Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures is a micro-series that retells key moments from the Star Wars franchise in bite-sized, animated form.

The kid-oriented series debuted on the ‘Star Wars Kids’ YouTube Channel and website, StarWarsKids.com, on 03 November 2018.

Using stylised animation, the series of shorts re-imagine key scenes from the saga, initially leading up the release of Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. The shorts feature audio from the original films (with narration by Dante Basco) and are animated by Titmouse, Inc.

Outline

The episode opens with Luke Skywalker having his first Jedi lightsaber training lesson aboard the Millennium Falcon during the journey to Alderaan. C-3PO, R2-D2, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, and Chewbacca are watching. Skywalker raises his lightsaber to face the remote. However, the wily remote runs circles around him, shooting lasers. C-3PO, R2-D2, and Chewbacca watch with concern and alarm while Solo smirks.

The training remote shoots lasers, landing a blast at the seat of Luke’s trousers. Han laughs while Luke looks bruised and frustrated. Kenobi then hands Luke a training helmet and tells him to let go of his conscious self and act on instinct. Luke responds that he can’t even see with the blast shields down and asks how he is going to fight. Kenobi counsels him that his eyes can deceive him and warns him not trust them.

Luke takes a leap of faith and dons the training helmet. He reignites his lightsaber. Kenobi tells him to stretch out with his feelings. Guided by the Force, Luke is able to deflect the training remote’s blasts. Triumphant, he takes off his helmet as Kenobi tells him he can do it.
