Introduction

Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures is a micro-series that retells key moments from the Star Wars franchise in bite-sized, animated form.

The kid-oriented series debuted on the ‘Star Wars Kids’ YouTube Channel and website, StarWarsKids.com, on 03 November 2018.

Using stylised animation, the series of shorts re-imagine key scenes from the saga, initially leading up the release of Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. The shorts feature audio from the original films (with narration by Dante Basco) and are animated by Titmouse, Inc.

Outline

The narrator explains that in a “galaxy of adventures” a pilot must use their wits to escape. The Millennium Falcon flies rings around the Imperial blockade following the Battle of Hoth. Princess Leia tells Han Solo that this “bucket of bolts” will never get them past the blockade. Han tries to reassure Leia by pulling the ship’s throttle, but the engines only groan.

Unable to jump into hyperspace, Solo flies the Falcon through the Hoth asteroid belt. Leia is shocked at Solo’s recklessness, but he responds that the Empire would be crazy to follow them. Solo flies the Falcon through the asteroids, causing Leia, Chewbacca, and C-3PO to cling for dear life.

Later, inside an “asteroid,” Han and his friends exit the Falcon to investigate the ship’s surroundings. Leia notices the ground feels strange. Solo shoots a mynock, which causes the “ground” to shake. The four blast off in the Falcon and travel through the “tunnel.” Leia remarks that the “cave” is collapsing, but Solo realises that is no cave as they see the teeth of a space slug. They escape the space slug and fly into space. Solo is smug, but Leia and Chewbacca look tired while C-3PO is hanging upside down.
