Introduction

Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures is a micro-series that retells key moments from the Star Wars franchise in bite-sized, animated form.

The kid-oriented series debuted on the ‘Star Wars Kids’ YouTube Channel and website, StarWarsKids.com, on 03 November 2018.

Using stylised animation, the series of shorts re-imagine key scenes from the saga, initially leading up to the release of Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. The shorts feature audio from the original films (with narration by Dante Basco) and are animated by Titmouse, Inc.

Outline

The video opens with a wide landscape shot of a First Order fortress on a snowy world. Inside the base, BB-8 sneaks past three stormtroopers and steals a hologram disc. While sneaking out, he bumps into a First Order BB-series astromech droid and three stormtroopers. BB-8 flees the guards and runs out into the hangar bay, where several 125-Z treadspeeder bikes are waiting.

Watching with macrobinoculars, Finn says come on. Poe shoots at the stormtroopers from his vantage point while Rey and Finn charge at the stormtroopers with blasters blazing. The narrator explains that in a “galaxy of adventures,” dangerous missions require teamwork. Rey knocks down a stormtrooper with her staff before fleeing with Finn on a treadspeeder bike. They are joined by Chewbacca and ride into the snow.

BB-8 also rolls with them through the snow. Stormtroopers give chase on two treadspeeder bikes but Chewbacca shoots one down with his blaster. Poe rides a second treadspeeder bike on the ridge above. The Resistance are soon pursued by three First Order jet troopers. Racing through a snowy forest, BB-8 uses his grappling cable to cling onto Poe’s treadspeeder. The jet troopers soon destroy Poe’s speeder, causing to go up in flames.

Rey and BB-8 land safely on Rey’s treadspeeder bike. Chewbacca grabs on to BB-8 while Rey tells him to hold on. Finn shoots down two of the jet troopers, one of whom collides with the third trooper. Back at the Millennium Falcon, Rey and Poe give each other a “high five” while Chewbacca hugs Poe. BB-8 shows Rey the disk and she hugs him.
