Outline

Germany made a last-ditch effort with the Battle of the Bulge. That loss and the following fall of Berlin delivered the Nazi surrender. Following hostilities came the establishment of war crime trials, such as the ones in Nuremberg and moves towards peace with the creation of the United Nations.
