Outline

Summer 1977. Crimea. Teacher Katya Petrova arrives at the Solnechny Naval Aviation Garrison from Moscow. Throughout the year, she corresponded with a garrison sailor who posed as a division commander. But in Solnechny, in the office of the real divisional commander Kuzin, she learns that the sailor deceived her – their love affair by correspondence was just a game. Nevertheless, the girl decides to stay in the garrison – she is ashamed to return home.

But every cloud has a silver lining – it is here, in Solnechnoye, that Katya meets the love of her life – Captain Andrei Bochkin. Soon she has two friends – Dina, who came to visit her childhood friend and future husband Pasha, and Yulia, the daughter of the division commander.
