Outline

division commander asks Katya for forgiveness for a misunderstanding due to which her personal life is crumbling. The division commander consoles Katya. Bochkin sees them – now he is sure that Katya has a relationship with the division commander. In the heat of the moment Bochkin takes a rash step.

To drive Markin away from Dina, Katya threatens him with a comradely trial. The long-awaited May Day holiday is getting closer. Perhaps it is he who will put everything in its place.
