Strange World is an American television programme about military investigations into criminal abuses of science and technology.
ABC commissioned 13 episodes, of which three aired in March 1999, before the network cancelled the programme. The remaining ten episodes produced subsequently premiered on the Sci-Fi Channel in Spring 2002.
Brilliant, terminally ill, army scientist Paul Turner investigates criminal activities that involve unethical experiments on humans, environmental hazards, biological weapons and a mysterious group with a sinister agenda.
Turner must stop the artificial intelligence that’s unintentionally sabotaging important automated systems in the city. Only a jaded old programmer turned hacker and an autistic boy can help him.
