Introduction
Strange World is an American television programme about military investigations into criminal abuses of science and technology.
ABC commissioned 13 episodes, of which three aired in March 1999, before the network cancelled the programme. The remaining ten episodes produced subsequently premiered on the Sci-Fi Channel in Spring 2002.
Brilliant, terminally ill, army scientist Paul Turner investigates criminal activities that involve unethical experiments on humans, environmental hazards, biological weapons and a mysterious group with a sinister agenda.
Outline
Turner is investigating the strange deaths of several construction workers. He discovers that a new deadly species of spider is to blame but opposes the idea of eradicating their colony, and so does a desperate mother.
