Introduction

Forged in Fire is an American competition series that airs on the History Channel, and is produced by Outpost Entertainment, a Leftfield Entertainment company.

History ordered an initial eight episodes of the series with the first programme premiering on Monday 22 June 2015, at 10.00 pm (US Eastern Time), and ending on 10 August 2010.

Outline

Four smiths get to choose their forging method and materials, but there’s a catch. Each technique comes with its own clock for the round. Will the smiths opt for the most difficult canister Damascus and the four hour clock, or the easiest ball bearing with only one hour? After a brutal round of testing, the two remaining smiths are tasked with creating the Headhunter Axe in only three days.
