Introduction

Forged in Fire is an American competition series that airs on the History Channel, and is produced by Outpost Entertainment, a Leftfield Entertainment company.

History ordered an initial eight episodes of the series with the first programme premiering on Monday 22 June 2015, at 10.00 pm (US Eastern Time), and ending on 10 August 2010.

Outline

In this mysterious competition, four smiths will not know what material they are working with until they open up a crate and discover one of any number of salvaged metals inside. After a brutal round of testing, two smiths will return home to recreate a weapon that’s been puzzling historians for centuries-the Medieval Sword of Mystery. The smiths’ skills are pushed to their limits, but only one will crack the code to win $10,000 and the title of Forged in Fire Champion.
