Introduction

Forged in Fire is an American competition series that airs on the History Channel, and is produced by Outpost Entertainment, a Leftfield Entertainment company.

History ordered an initial eight episodes of the series with the first programme premiering on Monday 22 June 2015, at 10.00 pm (US Eastern Time), and ending on 10 August 2010.

Outline

Four smiths hit the fast track in a race to make a Damascus blade with the highest layer count. And the stakes could not be higher – the winner will get extra time in round two, and the loser with the lowest layer count will get eliminated. The two smiths who reach the finish line, and survive an intense round of testing, will push the pedal to the metal in one final round where they will return home to recreate the Mesopotamian Sickle Sword.
