Introduction

Forged in Fire is an American competition series that airs on the History Channel, and is produced by Outpost Entertainment, a Leftfield Entertainment company.

History ordered an initial eight episodes of the series with the first programme premiering on Monday 22 June 2015, at 10.00 pm (US Eastern Time), and ending on 10 August 2010.

Outline

Four bladesmiths are given just one simple parameter – impress the judges. In a single 5 hour round, they can make any blade they want from start to finish but, the smith who wows the judges the most gets to completely bypass the rigorous round of testing and go straight to the final challenge. The most impressive smith and one other who survives the testing will return home to recreate the Indian Firangi Sword. Another set of brutal tests will determine which will win $10,000 and the title of Forged in Fire Champion.
