Introduction

Written by Matthew Chapman and directed by Bruno Barreto, The American Guest (O Hóspede Americano, original title) follows the journey of former US president Teddy Roosevelt, played by Aidan Quinn, alongside Brazilian army officer Cândido Rondon, portrayed by Chico Diaz, in a quest to explore unknown regions and come face to face with indigenous inhabitants of the Brazilian Amazon.
