A marauding barbarian with a reputation as one of history’s monsters, even today Attila’s name is a synonym for savagery. Attila, the King of the Huns made several devastating attacks on the Roman Empire from the east of Danube. In his wake came destruction and death, and the victims began to regard him as God’s punishment for their sins.
