Introduction
Future Weapons (also stylised as FutureWeapons and Futureweapons) is a documentary series that premiered on 19 April 2006 on the Discovery Channel.
Host Richard “Mack” Machowicz, a former US Navy SEAL, reviews and demonstrates the latest modern weaponry and military technology. The programme has been broadcast on the Discovery Channel and Military Channel (now American Heroes Channel).




Outline
Richard tries out the Barrett m468 assault rifle with the stopping power of an AK-47 and the speed and accuracy of an M-16. The Marines new m777 howitzer is built of titanium to reduce weight and increase mobility. It also has advanced targeting an control systems. Finally, Richard visits the USS Eisenhower to fly in the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and see the fleet’s missile defence systems.
