Introduction
Barry is an American dark comedy-crime television series created by Alec Berg and Bill Hader that premiered on HBO on 25 March 2018.
Hader stars as Barry Berkman, a former US Marine and a hitman, from Cleveland who travels to Los Angeles to kill someone but finds himself joining an acting class taught by Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler), where he meets aspiring actress Sally Reed (Sarah Goldberg) and begins to question his path in life as he deals with his criminal associates such as Monroe Fuches (Stephen Root) and NoHo Hank (Anthony Carrigan).
Outline
After Hank fails to kill Fuches multiple times, he instead decides to help Fuches kill Barry by kidnapping Gene and using him as bait. Gene reconsiders his plan to kill the movie when he learns from an agent that Daniel Day-Lewis wants to play him. Sally, who has flown with John to Los Angeles in a panic, calls Gene, who tells her to wait for him at his house. When Hank’s men arrive, they decide to kidnap Sally and John instead of Gene. Meanwhile, Jim subjects Barry to psychological torture, during which he learns about the $250,000 that Barry gave to Gene. The agent who talked to Gene turns out to be an actor, who leads Gene to Jim, Leo, and the district attorney, all of whom are now convinced that Gene was dealing with the Chechens and manipulated Barry into killing Janice to stop her investigation. Barry escapes from captivity and receives a call from Hank, who tells him they must meet or else Sally and John will die.
