First Weapons explores the history and innovation behind the weapons used by First Nations peoples.

Outline

The leangle (pronounced lea-ung-gal) and parrying shield that Trevor Kirby and Brendan Kennedy made on Wadi Wadi Country are put to the test. We see Phil’s strike speed and range of motion on a neuro-musculoskeletal model.

We also learn about Wotjobaluk man Dick-a-Dick and meet famous fast bowler Josh Lalor. Then, we put the weapons to the test at the National Cricket Centre, with Trevor deflecting Josh’s fast balls.
