Outline

The series concludes with the story of William the Conqueror’s struggles to transform his Norman forces from invaders to rulers of a new kingdom through traces that remain to this day. Alice Roberts gets her hands on a sword nearly 1000 years old, and discovers why so few women are depicted in the Bayeux tapestry. Danielle George gets some 11th-century battlefield experience, and Onyeka Nubia learns how William’s carefully choreographed coronation turned into a PR disaster.
