Introduction

Stargate Origins (abbreviated as SGO) is an American science fiction adventure web series and part of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s Stargate franchise.

Stargate Origins serves as a prequel to Stargate SG-1 and explores the backstory of Dr. Catherine Langford, the daughter of Professor Paul Langford – the man who discovered the Stargate in Giza, Egypt in 1928, as depicted in the 1994 feature film Stargate.

The events of the series take place 10 years after the discovery of the gate.

Outline

For more than ten years, Catherine Langford has watched her father labor over the mysterious ringed device he discovered in the Egyptian desert back in 1928.

With answers eluding them both and funding running out, the Langford’s situation has become desperate.

As the Professor makes plans to move the ring abroad, Catherine struggles to hold on to her life in Cairo, Egypt.

But when mysterious figures show up at their facility late one night, new light is shed on the device in a most sinister way.
