Introduction

The Sixteenth season of the police procedural drama NCIS was originally broadcast between 25 September 2018 and 21 May 2019.
Outline
The team’s holiday plans are put on hold when the murder investigation of a Navy veteran includes the discovery of a newborn baby who has no identification and no apparent ties to a family. On their way to the Child care centre, Bishop and Torres decide to bring the baby back to NCIS so that the team can look after it. Vance and Gibbs tell Bishop and Torres that the baby is their responsibility while the case is going on. McGee and Jimmy lend a hand with the baby by helping change diapers and wrapping the baby in blankets. Gibbs is semi-forced into letting the baby stay at his house, refusing to stay up with it causing Bishop and Torres to stay up and help. The baby’s mother is found, and she decides to give the baby up for adoption. The episode ends with the baby going to live with the family it was originally supposed to end up with before it was stolen.
