The Complete Churchill is a four-part documentary series presented by Martin Gilbert, chronicling the life of Winston Churchill with newsreel clips, archival film footage and interviews with his family and others.

Outline

The first episode surveys Winston Churchill’s early life through his schooling, the Boer Wars, the First World War, and his lecture tour in America.

The second and third episodes focus on the life of Winston Churchill during World War II.

And the fourth and final episode focuses on the life of Winston Churchill after the war, as he faces political defeat, re-election and is knighted by the Queen.

Trivia

Martin Gilbert spent 25 years researching and writing about the life of Churchill to present the first complete television biography of Britain’s wartime leader.
