Introduction
Star Wars Roll Out is a web series created for StarWarsKids.com and the StarWarsKids YouTube channel, with the first episode premiering on 09 August 2019.
Outline
In the opening credits, BB-8 and a Star Wars ball lead the way followed by Rey, Maz Kanata, Finn, Captain Phasma, two stormtroopers, Ben Solo, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and three porgs.
On the desert world of Jakku, Rey rides speeder past a wrecked Imperial-class Star Destroyer in the Starship Graveyard. She explores a derelict Star Destroyer, walking past one of its engine thrusters. Rey abseils into the hangar bay. She searches through several chambers before finding a rusty engine coil.
Rey then sees a pink jewel hanging overhead and climbs over some debris to reach it. After some attempts, Rey manages to obtain the jewel. She laughs with joy at her find but this joy is short-lived. Teedo and two other Teedos steal her jewel with a lasso. Teedo then collapses several rocks on top of her with his lasso. The Teedos laugh before departing.
Rey digs herself out and sighs in defeat. At Niima Outpost, Rey gives her engine coil to Unkar Plutt, who pays her only a credit. Teedo pushes her aside and hands the stolen jewel to Plutt, who pays the Teedos several credits. They laugh at Rey. Rey confronts them but Teedo wraps his lasso around her and throws her aside. The Teedo walk away laughing, leaving a scowling Rey behind.
While riding her speeder through the desert, Rey discovers a deep pit. Dismounting her speeder, she descends down several rocks into the pit and discovers a cave full of more colourful jewels.
