Introduction
Star Wars Roll Out is a web series created for StarWarsKids.com and the StarWarsKids YouTube channel, with the first episode premiering on 09 August 2019.
Outline
The episode opens with FN-2187 still stuck to the magnet as the compressors close in on him. When all seems lost, the machine senses that he is not a droid. A giant mechanical claw lifts him up and a circular shaft opens. The two busted droids raise their hands to the light in vain and despair. The mechanical claw brings FN-2187 back to the surface, leaving the two busted droids behind in the garbage compactor.
More rubbish including a decrepit green droid are flushed down the garbage chute. The silver and orange droids are about to give up hope when FN-2187, who takes pity on the droids, opens a shaft and abseils down a rope. He then uses a rope pulley to lift the droids out of the garbage compactor. The droids thank Finn.
Shortly later, Captain Phasma and the rest of the FN Corps flee the green fire–breathing monster, which has broken free again. They huddle behind FN-2187 and the droids. The monster approaches a hoversled carrying trash. Finn has an idea and the droids use wire to restrain the monster long enough for FN-2187 to shove dirt down its maw. Finn and the busted droids then restrain the monster, earning the respect of Captain Phasma and the stormtroopers.
Later, Finn watches as the grateful droids are repaired on a factory conveyor belt. The episode ends with Finn laughing happily.
