Introduction
Star Wars Roll Out is a web series created for StarWarsKids.com and the StarWarsKids YouTube channel, with the first episode premiering on 09 August 2019.
Outline
The episode opens with Ben Solo, Han Solo, and Chewbacca rolling down the mountainside in their stolen airspeeder. After reaching the ground, Ben enters the Bug Hunters’ ship and frees the butterflies from their cages. Han and Chewbacca discover tubs full of glowing blue dust. Han closes the ramp of the ship but the Bug Hunters force their way inside using a speeder armed with “crab arms.”
The hunters storm the ship. Han and Ben flee their pursuers by climbing up the cages. Just then, the ship begins shaking as it lifts off, causing the hunters to fall out. At the helm of the ship, Chewbacca tilts the ship upward, causing most of the hunters and cages to fall out. Several butterflies take the opportunity to flee.
The hunter in the “crab” speeder approaches Han and Ben. Han fires his blaster but it has not effect. Ben hurls a large, sticky fruit at the alien hunter, which distracts him long enough for the Solos to release move captive blue butterflies, who swarm the hunter. They carry him and his speeder away. Chewbacca lands the Bug Hunters’ ship but is disappointed that they have lost the blue jewel dust.
Ben is happy that he has freed the butterflies. Han takes pride in his son and cuddles him. Later, while travelling through hyperspace, Ben sleeps on a sofa with blue jewel dust in his pockets. Chewbacca, with Han’s approval, shakes out the glittering blue dust while Ben laughs in his sleep.
