Rogue (2020)

Rogue is an upcoming American action film directed by M.J. Bassett, who wrote the screenplay with her daughter, Isabella.

The film stars Megan Fox as a mercenary whose team gets trapped in Africa during a mission and is hunted by a lion.

The film is scheduled to be released on 28 August 2020.

Megan Fox (Transformers franchise) tackles a thrilling new role as a battle-hardened mercenary in this explosive action saga. As team leader O’Hara, she leads a lively squad of soldiers on a daring mission: rescue hostages from their captors in remote Africa. But as the mission goes awry and the team is stranded, O’Hara’s squad must face a bloody, brutal encounter with a gang of rebels – and the horde of ravenous, enraged lions they encounter.

  • Megan Fox as Samantha O’Hara.
  • Philip Winchester as Joey Kasinski.
  • Greg Kriek as Mike Barasa.
  • Jessica Sutton as Asila Wilson.
  • Calli Taylor as Chloe.
  • Brandon Auret as Elijah Dekker.
  • Adam Deacon as Zalamm.
  • Sisanda Henna as Pata.

M.J. Bassett originally wrote the screenplay with her daughter with the intention of it being a small pet project. After the producers read the script, they thought it was more of a star vehicle, and sent the script to Fox’s agent, who accepted the next day. Filming took place in winter 2019 in the UK and South Africa.

Rogue is scheduled to be released in the US digitally 28 August 2020, and then on Blu-ray and DVD on 01 September. The film’s trailer was released on 20 July 2020.
