Introduction

Captain Dylan Hunt and the crew of the Andromeda Ascendant set out on a mission to rebuild the Systems Commonwealth 300 years after its fall.

The series combines elements of hard science fiction and drama, while dealing with social and political issues such as drug abuse, death, bribery, and intergalactic politics.

Outline

After an old man named Prysis is slain, a mysterious man arrives through the Route of Ages to find his killer. Beka, Rhade, and Harper are the main suspects, and Dylan strikes a deal: the stranger will return Andromeda and its crew to the known worlds, in exchange for Dylan executing Prysis’ murderer. In the end Dylan is killed, but it is revealed that the stranger and Prysis are the same person after Dylan revives. Dylan realises that the Stranger is a Paradine sent from the future to bring the crew back together as they used to be and he leaves behind a cube that has the potential to repower Andromeda.
