McKeever and the Colonel TV Series Overview (1962-1963)

Introduction

McKeever and the Colonel is an American sitcom that was broadcast on NBC from 23 September 1962 to 16 June 1963 on Sunday nights at 6:30 pm Eastern Time.

Its setting was a fictional military academy known as Westfield.

Outline

A young cadet at a boys’ military academy is always getting into trouble and driving his superior officer crazy.

Blackwell (played by character actor Allyn Joslyn). Jackie Coogan played Sergeant Barnes, a down-to-earth school staffer who was more sympathetic to McKeever. The programme also starred character actor John McGiver as well as child actor John Eimen as Monk.
