Introduction

Navy Log is an American drama anthology series that initially aired for one season on CBS.

It relates the greatest survival war stories in the history of the United States Navy. The series premiered in 1955, but the following year, it was moved to ABC, where it aired until 1958.

Outline

The US Navy, faced with the problem of rescuing pilots whose planes were shot down in enemy waters, sends submarines to the rescue. As part of this plan, the USS Stingray heads into shallow water within reach of enemy guns to pick up some floating airmen before the Japanese do.
